DPM Sar Sokha Advises Joint Efforts to Maintain Security and Political Stability, Which the Royal Government Strives to Build

Prey Veng: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sar Sokha, has called upon both authorities and citizens to collaborate in upholding security, peace, and the political stability that previous and current administrations have painstakingly cultivated. Minister Sar Sokha’s remarks were delivered during the "Announcement of the Prey Veng Provincial Field Team's Composition" ceremony on the morning of December 20, 2023.

Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha stated that the Royal Government of the 7th mandate has initiated the first phase of the Pentagon Strategy. The primary objective of this strategy is to elevate Cambodia to a high middle-income nation by 2030, ultimately reaching high-income status by 2050. This ambitious vision is designed to ensure the country's development is characterized by transparency, affordability, and accountability for its citizens.

The Minister of Interior stressed that achieving this goal hinges on bolstering governance, enabling efficient public administration, and forging robust partnerships with friendly nations. Such collaborations are vital to enable Cambodia to meet its sustainable development objectives.

Simultaneously, local working groups in both the capital and provinces must enhance their cooperation and work closely with national leaders. Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha also urged provincial authorities to prepare their annual plans, emphasizing that these plans serve as vital roadmaps for the provincial field team when determining priorities.

Prime Minister Hun Manet appointed Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha as the Chairman of the Prey Veng Provincial Field Team's composition. Additionally, Mr. Chea Somethy, Minister of Social Affairs, Veterans, and Youth Rehabilitation, was named Vice-Chairman, alongside five other Vice-Chairmen and 256 members.
